A Rug to Match our Patio Set

Step two to sprucing up our back porch is choosing a rug. When choosing a rug it’s important to think about the amount of foot traffic it may come into contact with. Our patio is a high traffic area since it’s an entrance and it’s outside, so it needs to be able to withstand the foot traffic and everything that comes with being an outdoor rug. As a rule of thumb we like to use polypropylene rugs for outdoor.

It’ll be a surprise to see which rug we choose, but I can tell you we’ve narrowed it down to two prospects: Happy Yellow Stripe and Watermelon Stripe. Happy Yellow is a tried and true that’s been in the collection for years, so we know it will hold up well in the space we are looking to put it. Watermelon Stripe is a new addition and it will compliment the space well, however it has a lot of white which could show dirt quicker and easier. We can’t rule it out just yet because it gets one of our favorite summer songs stuck in our head. Needless to say it always brings a smile to our face and those are the things you really want in your home, right?
