John Ginocchio was born in Lexington, Kentucy and grew up in the Matthew Kennedy House. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Architecture where he began to work in the medium of oil painting exploring themes of the rhythm and structure of nature through an abstract subject matter which studied transition, change, movement and distance. In September 1990 John moved to New York City where he began working as an architect and painting in his free time. John currently practices architecture with Ginocchio Architecture, now headquartered in New Jersey where he and his and wife, Julia, raise their two children Lucca and Annika. John continues to paint both abstract and portraits.
