Elizabeth Foley is an artist/printmaker. While developing her art practice, she taught art at Wyoming Middle School in Wyoming, Ohio and then at Sayre Upper School in Lexington, Kentucky. She is a founding member of the Bluegrass Printmakers’ Cooperative in Lexington and was Executive Director for ten years. She is a member of the Kentucky Crafted Program and is a cohort in the 2017-18 Hadley Creatives Program. Elizabeth earned a BFA in graphic design from Washington University and an MFA in printmaking and M.Ed in secondary education from Ohio University. As a resident of Louisville, she is pursuing art full-time. Rather than print editions she uses relief, monoprint, and collagraph techniques together to make unique images from the same plates: a potential template for life -balance. The vibrant dialogue between shape, color, and pattern creates a meditative moment.
